Privacy Policy for Dr. Me
This Privacy Policy explains how Dr. Me ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you use the Dr. Me mobile application on iOS and Android, and when you contact support.
Dr. Me helps users understand medical-report terminology. It is an educational tool and does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment advice.

2. Scope
This policy applies to the Dr. Me iOS and Android apps, analysis features, and support interactions.
It does not apply to third-party websites or services governed by their own policies.
3. Data We Collect
- Content you provide for analysis (text, PDF, images).
- Technical/request metadata (device identifier, request context, security/reliability data).
- Subscription-related data (RevenueCat app user ID, entitlement and purchase state).
- On-device local data (saved history, onboarding state, avatar selection, usage counters).
For app operation, submitted content (including health and potentially sensitive data in medical reports) may be processed in connection with app/device-level identifiers used for security, quota, and entitlement checks.
4. How We Use Data
- Provide report analysis and plain-language explanations.
- Operate, secure, and improve app reliability.
- Enforce rate limits and free-tier quotas.
- Determine and restore subscription entitlement.
- Provide support and handle privacy requests.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We process these categories for app functionality and service operation. We do not use this data for third-party advertising, developer marketing, or cross-context profiling.
5. How Analysis Works (OpenAI + Cloudflare Proxy)
When you request analysis, Dr. Me sends input to our Cloudflare Worker proxy. The proxy then forwards the request to OpenAI to generate explanations returned in the app.
6. Service Providers and Sharing

We do not sell personal data.
We and our service providers do not use collected data for tracking across third-party apps or websites.
7. Retention
- Analysis inputs are processed transiently to deliver results.
- Limited technical retention may occur for reliability, abuse prevention, and performance.
- Analysis response cache may be retained for up to 7 days.
- On-device history remains until deleted by you or app removal (subject to platform behavior).
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, and to request portability where applicable.

10. In-App Controls
- Delete saved reports from app history.
- Remove app data by uninstalling the app (platform behavior may vary).
- Manage subscriptions through Apple/Google account settings.
11. International Data Transfers
Because our providers operate globally, data may be processed outside your country with safeguards required by applicable law.
12. Children’s Privacy
Dr. Me is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically and will update the "Last updated" date accordingly.
